Massive transfers, postings in ETPB

LAHORE: On various reasons, the newly appointed chairman of Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) has directed the admin branch of ETPB to transfer some officials and post them on new seats whereas two office orders of transfer and posting have also been issued here on Friday, Pakistan Today learnt reliably.

According to the orders (copies available with this scribe), the administrator of the west zone (W.Z) ETP Faisalabad Muhammad Javed has been transferred and posted as administrator south zone (S.Z) ETP, Karachi.

Similarly, Rashid Ahmed Tunio who was working as the deputy administrator ETP office Sheikhupura has been transferred on the post of W.Z ETP Faisalabad on OPS (On Pay Scale) basis. The superintended of  ETP zonal office Lahore Saeed Ahmed has been transferred and posted as assistant administrator ETP office Sheikhupura whereas the deputy administrator land ETP Lahore Nadeem Dharejo has also been transferred and posted as deputy administrator ETP office Hyderabad.

Allao Din Abbasi who was appointed as naib tehsildar and working as an assistant administrator on ops basis at ETP office Hyderabad has also been transferred and posted as naib tehsildar Hyderabad.

The inspector of ETPB land branch Hasan Turab has been transferred to ETP Gujranwala office and Muhammad Ishaque who was working as an assistant in ETP Multan has been transferred to ETP land branch.

Similarly, another inspector from Gujranwala Fazal Ur Rehman Butt has been transferred to ETP shrine branch, however; two sub-inspectors Gularaiz Sabir and Irfan Ahmed have also been transferred from their posts.

According to the office order, “All officials are hereby relieved from their duties and directed to join their new place of posting forthwith”.

Well maintained sources in ETPB told Pakistan Today, “Most of the officials who are transferred and posted on new positions were under the observation of higher-ups. The newly appointed chairman wants his own team and previously most of the hiring was made on a political basis. The team of the new chairman is also working on some more officials and more transfers and postings are further expected”.

On the other hand, a senior official of ETPB while seeking anonymity said, “All the transfers and postings are routine matter and none of our official is involved in corruption and embezzlement”.
