PESHAWAR: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Sunday brought back passengers to Peshawar but left their luggage in Saudi Arabia.
According to sources, the passengers of PIA flight PK-728 were informed about the situation once they arrived in Peshawar from Riyadh.
They staged a protest at the Bacha Khan Airport against the PIA staff.
A PIA spokesperson said that they regretted the inconvenience due to this issue and ensured that the luggage will be delivered on next available flight to Pakistan.
However, this is not the first time the national carrier has left people’s luggage behind.
In 2016, a PIA flight left the luggage of passengers on board at Jeddah airport after being delayed for 10 hours.
