Indian politician and president of Jana Sena party Pawan Kalyan has claimed that members of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) told him two years ago that there will be war before the Lok Sabha elections.
Kalyan, a former ally of the BJP, while addressing an election rally in the Kadapa district was quoted by Indian media as saying, “I was told two years ago war will be coming. You can understand from this what kind of situation our country is in.”
Pawan said war was not a solution to any problem and could cause huge damage to both the countries.
However, later, the Indian media reported that Pawan had clarified his statement and said, “No one told me about a possible warlike situation before elections. Many who follow prominent political analysts and news channels know this and I was just mentioning them.”
New Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also criticised Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Addressing the Delhi Assembly, Kejriwal slammed the Indian premier and his party, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and asked, “I want to ask them, how many soldiers will they get killed for 300 seats. How many more bodies do you need? How many more houses of soldiers will you destroy? How many sons of mothers will you snatch and how many women will you make widows for these 300 seats?”
