KARACHI: Special Assistant to Sindh Chief Minister (CM) on Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar has asked all disabled people to obtain disability certificates.
This he said while presiding over a meeting at his office here on Sunday.
The disabled people may contact the office of the provincial council for rehabilitation of people at block 2, FB Area, adjacent to Ibrahim Ali Bhai Girls School near Samanabad Police Station Ancholi.
The meeting was informed that the disabled people could submit their applications in their respective rehabilitation centres in all 27 districts in Sindh.
They would get medical board facilities in the local hospital and would be issued disability certificates.
Syed Qasim directed the officers to help all disabled people in registering complaints to streamline the provision of facilities and rights to them and also ensure that their grievances must be addressed properly.
He also asked all private and commercial industrial departments to obey Ordinance of Sindh Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Act 2018 and follow five per cent fixed quota in appointing disabled persons in their respective organisations.
