LAHORE: A man gunned down his sister and her husband for marrying without the family’s consent on Tuesday.
Police said that Kainat hailing from Samanabad married Asad without the approval of her family six months ago and started living in Gujranwala.
The couple was invited for lunch by an uncle of Asad in the Rasool Park area when Kainat’s brother Gul Sher alias Gullu arrived there and opened fire on them, killing them both instantly.
The bodies were shifted to hospital for postmortem and the police after registering a case against the murderer started raids for his arrest.
Meanwhile, in Sheikhupura, a youth gunned down his close friend over a personal grudge and escaped the scene.
Police said that differences emerged between Rafique alias Kaka and his friend Usman, 20, over a minor dispute
Rafique took Usman to the fields in village Qila Aqwak Singh, shot him dead and escaped after dumping his body into a tube well.
