LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) announced a comprehensive judgment regarding the rejection of the pleas filed by Khawaja brothers for bail, media reported.

A two-member bench headed by Justice Ali Baqir Najfi issued the 14-page verdict.

The verdict asserted that paragon society launched in 2006 was not approved by the Lahore Development Authority (LDA).

Khawaja Saad Rafique started this project along with his wife Ghazala and Qaiser Amin Butt.

During the hearing of this case, court noted that the name of air avenue society was changed to paragon society while Muhammed Rafique, Shahid Butt and others recorded statements against PML-N leaders.

The verdict of the court further said that in this project 21 canals and 18 marlas of governmental land was included in the society from Phlarwan whereas 4 canals and 10 marlas of land was added from the Cantt area.

The verdict mentioned this clearly that Khawaja brothers acquired the plots through fraud and were unable to defend the accusations, so their request for bail is being rejected.
