LONDON: Nobel Peace Prize recipient Malala Yousafzai took a friendly jibe at the Indian cricket team at the star-studded opening ceremony of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in London.

Following the 60-second challenge, Malala was asked about the Pakistan team’s performance during the ODI games, to which she replied, “Pakistan? We were okay, not too bad. We came seventh. But India came last.”

The crowd busted into laughter after her comment.

The opening ceremony was attended by cricketers and celebrities from all the 10 participating nations at the Buckingham Palace in English capital.
