ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police on Thursday arrested 10 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered narcotics, wine, weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.
Following directions of DIG (Operations) Waqar Ud din Syed, he said that police have accelerated efforts against those involved in anti-social activities and special patrolling and vigilance is being ensured in the city. Owing these efforts, police teams arrested 10 outlaws from various area of the city and recovered narcotics and weapons from them.
According to details, Karachi Company police during special checking arrested bootleggers namely Abdul Salam and recovered 120 liter wine and 240 empty bottles from him.
Sabzi Mandi police arrested accused Mehtab involved in theft case.
Kohsar arrested two accused Haider Ali and Muhammad Rehim and recovered 220 gram hashish and 9mm pistol along with ammunition from him.
Industrial-Area police arrested accused Muhammad Sheraiz involved in illegally cylinder filling.
The CIA police arrested accused Asif Massaih and recovered one 30 bore illicit pistol along with ammunition from him.
Koral and Khanna police teams arrested two lady accused namely Zahida bibi and Shazia bibi and recovered 535 gram hashish and 210 gram heroin from him.
Lohibher police arrested accused Muhammad Ashraf and recovered one 30 bore illicit pistol from him. Further-more khanna police arrested accused Saif-Ullah violating section 144.Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further Investigation is underway from them.
DIG (Operations) Waqar Ud din Syed has directed all Station House Officers for effective crackdown against that involvement in drug peddling activities. He asked for renewed efforts to curb such practices and get rid of society from such menace.
He said that Performance in this regard would be reviewed on continuous basis.
He also directed for strict action against those involved in selling or flying kites, aerial firing and pigeon racing activities.
The DIG also categorically asked all police officials to focus on resolving the public complaints and take every possible step to provide maximum relief to citizens.
