Money smuggling bid foiled at airport

KARACHI: Pakistan Customs and Airport Security Force (ASF) on Wednesday foiled a bid of money smuggling to abroad in Karachi Airport as two smugglers were arrested.

According to airport officials, Pakistan Customs and ASF in a joint operation arrested a smuggler   Shaukat Ali as he was trying to smuggle money abroad from the airport. They recovered 29,000 dirham and 27, 5000 riyals from his possession.

During the initial investigation, the accused revealed information about his accomplice Abdul Sami. The officials also arrested him outside the international departure section of the airport. Different cases were registered against detainees and officials started further investigation.
