ISLAMABAD: Former president and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday met Maulana Fazulr Rehman, chief of Jamiat-e-Ulema-Fazl (JUI-F) and discussed matters of mutual interest.
Both the leaders expressed ‘dissatisfaction’ on performance of the government.
Zardari told the JUI-F chief that government had failed to provide relief to the masses. He alleged that the government was constantly targeting the opposition with what he called ‘revengeful tactics’.
Rehman said the actions by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) were more of a ‘political revenge’ than accountability.
He accused the rulers of running the country with ‘no prior experience’.
Fazl alleged that the government wasn’t serious in implementing the National Action Plan (NAP) [on counter terrorism].
