ISLAMABAD: Noor Nimar Majeed, daughter in law of Omni Group Head Anwar Majeed, on Tuesday pleaded before the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to remove her name from the exit control list (ECL) if it had been placed on it as she had been prevented from leaving the country as she was about to board a plane from Karachi airport.

The counsel for the petitioner, advocate Raja Rizwan Abbasi said that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) informed his client that she was not allowed to leave the country as her family members were involved in money laundering case while she at Jinnah International Airport.

He said that his client had not been clarified whether her name was still on the ECL or not.

After hearing the arguments, the court served notices to the FIA director general and interior ministry, seeking a reply within 10 days.
