BUREWALA: Five members of a family, including mother and two children, died and two others were injured in a road accident here on Sunday.
Police said that a van carrying seven people was on its way to a wedding ceremony in Hasilpur when it was “hit” by an over speeding passenger bus, trying to save a buffalo on Hasipur Road in Burewala.
As a result of collision Shazia Bibi, her two sons Anas and Abdul Rehman, two close relatives Shahid and Kalsoom died on the spot in the accident while Dawood and Shamim Bibi were critically injured.
The bodies and injured people hailing from village 297-EB of Burewala were shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Meanwhile, a case was registered against the driver of the passenger bus and investigation was initiated.
