Quetta Gladiators bowler Fawad Ahmed will undergo a gum surgery as he was smashed in the face by a returning straight drive from Imamul Haq in the qualifier match against Peshawar Zalmi on Wednesday.
Gladiators qualified for the final of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for the third time in four years after beating Peshawar Zalmi by 10 runs in front of a packed National Stadium Karachi crowd. Their victory, however, was somewhat marred by Fawad’s injury as he had to be taken to a hospital for treatment after losing his front tooth.
