KARACHI: A man was crushed to death by a speeding water tanker in New Karachi area of the metropolis in the wee hours of Wednesday.
According to police sources, a 38-year-old man, Sajid Siddiq, was crushed to death by a speeding water tanker in New Karachi area.
The police said that the accident occurred after the driver of the tanker lost control of the vehicle and crushed the man who was sitting on a footpath. Two other people were also injured in the incident, police added.
The driver managed to flee, however, the vehicle has been taken into police custody, police said. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
