LAHORE: Light rain in the provincial capital and its outskirts on Wednesday added to the persisting chilly weather conditions. Intermittent rain was also reported in Sialkot, Mian Channu, Attock, Bahawalnagar and Jahanian.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the current rain spell will continue for another 24 hours and end on Friday night.
Widespread rain is expected in Lahore, Faisalabad, Islamabad, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir, the Met Office said.
It added that rain is also expected at scattered places in Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Multan, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan divisions while at isolated places in the Mirpurkhas division.
Snowfall over the hills is also expected in Malakand division (Swat, Chitral, Kalam, Malamjabba and Upper Dir), Hazara division, Murree, Galliyat, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
