Six members of a family, including four children, were found dead after an explosion was heard in their house located in Bannu, a district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province that borders North Waziristan.
According to initial reports, a man, his wife and four children died due to a blast in the vicinity of Hawaid police station.
Rescue teams and police quickly reached the site and started their operations.
The cause of the blast is yet to be ascertained; however, reports claimed that an artillery shell exploded in their house.
