RAWALPINDI: Federal Minister for National Health Services and Regulation Aamir Mehmood Kiyani has said that the government is paying special attention towards improving the facilities at public sector hospitals in the country.

He stated this while talking in an open kutchery at his constituency on Sunday.

He said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) government, under the vision of PM Imran Khan, is working day and night to provide relief to the people and bring noticeable changes in their lives, adding that the change will be visible to everyone in a few months, and not years.

The minister also reiterated his government’s commitment to provide job opportunities for the youth.

He listened to the problems of the people of his constituency and assured to resolve all issues.

Earlier in a statement last month, the minister said the government was going to start a health insurance programme in the country under which 25 million Health Insurance Cards would be distributed among poor people. He said that the purpose of a health card is to provide the best healthcare facilities to people of lower socio-economic background and the range of the card has been extended to the whole country as per the prime minister’s wish.

“Four new hospitals will be established in Islamabad to facilitate the people,” he informed.

Kiyani said that government hospitals in the Capital had been facing staff shortage since a long time and the government was advertising to fill the vacant seats.
