CHARSADDA: Police have arrested the accused who was involved in the killing of senior journalist Ahsan Sherpao.
According to details, Charsadda’s senior journalist Ahsan Sherpao’s murderer has been arrested by the police from Islamabad.
Accused Arshad Jamal was arrested from Islamabad last night, the police informed while speaking to the media. Arshad Jamal is the paternal cousin of Ahsan Sherpao.
Previously, on October 30, senior journalist and Chief Secretary of the Charsadda Press Club Ahsan Sherpao, along with three others, was shot dead after a scuffle at a jirga meeting.
The jirga meeting was being presided by Sherpao. One person was also injured in the incident.
According to the police, Ahsan’s killer was a drug addict and had previously killed his wife and killed his mother, his sister in law, his nephew and Ehsan, who was his cousin.
