New QAT schedule announced for PEF school partners

LAHORE: The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has announced the schedule of annually held Quality Assurance Test (QAT) 2018-19 of its partner schools all over Punjab. Over 7,243 schools across Punjab will participate in the annual Quality assurance test.

According to a circular 19th, QAT of Foundation Assisted School (FAS), 17th QAT of Education Voucher Scheme (EVS), 14th QAT of New School programmes will be starting from December 3, 2018. The purpose of this QAT exercise is to determine the academic standards of the partner schools.

However, school partners showed their concerns on almost every QAT test previously, on the condition of anonymity one of the school owners told Pakistan Today that the passing criteria of PEF’s quality assurance test are the most unique and though, according to the new syllabus of QAT a student of class 4th also have to attempt questions related to creative writing.

One of the school partners said PEF’s announced Quality assurance test’s conduction in the month of December and January and it is not possible to ensure the full attendance of students in such inclement weather conditions, not only this but to some extent this will also affect and disturb the students annual schedule of winter holidays of December.

It is pertinent to mention here that PEF asked for 100% attendance of students of selected classes in the school during QAT and for qualifying the QAT a school needs to obtain 50% passing result which is mandatory.
