PM approves new watchdog commission to check corruption

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has given an approval for constituting the Whistle Blower and Vigilation Commission (WBVC) to ensure the oversight of corrupt elements, besides the protection of the corruption informer.

The approval was given during the PM’s briefing on legal amendments in a meeting of a legal task force on Thursday.

After the constitution of the commission, informers would be given protection as well as gifts.

Law Minister Farogh Naseem apprised the PM that getting justice would be made easy for government servants after amendments in the laws.

The main aim of the legal reforms is to meet the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) manifesto about the acquisition of justice.

He further added that technology solutions would be added and courts would be assisted in the provision of justice for the deliverance of speedy justice.

Moreover, Parliamentary Secretary Malaika Ali Bukhari briefed the PM on women related laws. “Laws to ensure women rights and women rights in the property are being introduced,” she said.
