Three MQM-L target killers confess to above 60 murders after arrest

KARACHI: Three Muttahida Quami Movement-London (MQM-L) members confessed to their crimes, saying that they had committed above 60 target killings and other monstrous crimes, according to a statement released from the police department on Thursday.

The police said that they arrested the MQM-L terrorists during a raid at a house in Shah Latif Town area of Karachi after receiving a tip-off.

“The suspects were identified as Ahmer alias moon, Iftikhar alias mulla and Muhammad Kalam son of Abdul Aziz,” reads the statement.

The police have also revealed that all three of the arrested were government servants who had gone into hiding after the party’s ban in Pakistan.

“Ahmer alias moon, who was working as a telephone operator at Institute of Heart Diseases, confessed to above 60 murders in the custody. Iftikhar alias mulla, a 16-grade officer in Ministry of Labour, confessed that he was involved in 16 target killings. Whereas Muhammad Kalam son of Abdul Aziz, who was serving in Karachi Water and Sewerage Board, confessed to 12 target killings,” reads the statement.
