Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar has directed National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore Director General Shahzad Saleem to “treat people with respect” as he heard a case pertaining to the Greater Lahore Housing Society.

As the case was being heard, former caretaker minister for law in Punjab Zia Haider Rizvi requested the court to have his case in the accountability watchdog closed.

The CJP replied, “I cannot do that, but I can say that they complete their investigation in one week and free you. I have asked the DG NAB [Shahzad Saleem] to treat people with respect.”
The top judge added that people were “sitting like snakes in society” and looked for political connections as an excuse when they were transferred.
