Imran calls for implementation of NAP in all provinces

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Monday condemned the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park suicide attack and stressed the need for national consensus over security of the country.

All armed groups should be hunted without any discrimination in all the provinces under National Action Plan, he said, while talking to media here at Jinnah Hospital after inquiring about the health of the injured. He said that police should be de-politicised and government’s interference in its affairs should be ended to get positive results.

Jahangir Khan Tareen, Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed, Ejaz Chaudhry and other PTI officials were also present on the occasion.

Imran Khan said that those involved in terrorist attacks in the name of Islam were misleading the Muslims as they were acting against the teachings of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

He said that police should be de-politicised and government’s interference in its affairs should be ended to get positive results.

We need to change our priorities as no nation can progress without peace, Khan said.

‘GO NAWAZ GO’:

Earlier, Imran Khan was denied entrance to the Jinnah Hospital after an angry crowd blocked the way.

Imran Khan and PTI central leader Shafqat Mahmood were greeted with full-throated chants of ‘go Nawaz go’ when they reached the hospital. The victims’ relatives did not allow Shafqat Mahmood to pass and expressed their anger with the whole political class. A video has gone viral which shows the PTI leader having to turn back after failing to gain entrance to the premises.
