MULTAN: Smoggy weather will persist for another four days and the weather will be cleared after an expected spell of rain in the upper parts of Punjab later this week.

According to meteorological officials, rain is expected to lash parts of the province on November 15.

There are no chances of rain in southern parts of Punjab within the ongoing month, the officials added.

Meanwhile, people have been advised to take special care of their eyes during the current spell of smog.

Speaking to APP, renowned ophthalmologist Dr Safdar Hashmi said that smog is a real concern these days which can cause itchy eyes.

He also advised the people to repeatedly wash their eyes and said that motorcyclists should use glasses or helmets. Smog can also cause redness in eyes and the virus can affect vision, he said.

Dr Hashmi added that patients should use eye lubricants to avoid any serious issues. “In case they are not feeling any relief, they should immediately see a doctor,” he added.
