SRINAGAR: The United Kingdom (UK) government urged Pakistan and India to sort out Kashmir conundrum through dialogue.

According to a statement issued by a spokesperson of the UK foreign ministry, UK Foreign Minister Boris Johnson said that Pakistan and India should find a solution to the Kashmir issue. “We are encouraging both countries so that Kashmir issue could be resolved,” he said and was quoted by the Indian media.

He said that they should adopt the way of talks for addressing this issue.

He further said that the UK is with Pakistan on the matter of regional security because this is an important issue.

Johnson said, “We are convinced by Pakistan’s sacrifices in the war against terrorism.”

He also expressed concern over the tense situation at the Line of Control (LoC).

The UK government wished the revival of negotiations between two neighbour countries on the matter and hoped the two countries should try to defuse the tension.
