LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Wednesday said that crackdown against drug pushers in the province would continue without any pressure and measures would be adopted for the elimination of narcotics in an organised manner.

Speaking during a meeting with Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Punjab Commander Brig Khalid Mahmood Goraya, who called on him, the chief minister said that elements involved in the heinous trade of narcotics were murderers of humanity.

“Those involved in selling narcotics outside educational institutions will be put behind bars at all costs,” he maintained while proposing to organise seminars at educational institutions to raise awareness regarding the negative effects of drugs and save youth from getting involved in such activities.

A ban was imposed on smoking and the use of narcotics in educational institutions as the provision of a conducive atmosphere to the students is our responsibility, he added.

CM Buzdar also said that collective efforts were needed to establish a narcotics free society.

Brig Khalid Mahmood Goraya, on the occasion, apprised the chief minister about the performance of the ANF.
