ISLAMABAD: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has summoned a high-level meeting on the arrest of former Punjab University (PU) vice-chancellor (VC) Mujahid Kamran on Monday.
Vice-chancellors of different government universities around the country have expressed their reservations over the incident and have said that Mujahid Kamran is being subjected to a media trial
“We have informed HEC chairman about our concern,” they said.
The meeting of HEC will be headed by HEC Chairman Dr Tariq Banuri in which a strong protest strategy will be discussed.
