ANP leader, nephew killed in Peshawar

An Awami National Party (ANP) leader and his nephew were shot dead by unidentified gunmen in the jurisdiction of the Tehkal Police Station.

It was reported that Ibrar Khalil, who was an ANP candidate from the PK-74 Peshawar constituency and his nephew Rashid were travelling in a car in the Subhanabad locality when unidentified gunmen opened fire at them killing them on the spot.

According to police officials, an investigation is being conducted to find out whether the incident was that of target killing or there were other motives behind the killing.

Moreover, the ANP leaders condemned the assassination and offered condolences to the grieving family. Furthermore, they demanded the arrest of the killers and demanded that they get an exemplary punishment.
