LAHORE: A lawyer on Saturday outside the Supreme Court (SC) Lahore Registry tried to set himself on fire following which he was arrested.
Bilal, the lawyer, said he had attempted the act because he was agitated at not being appointed as a district prosecutor.
He claimed that he fulfilled the required qualifications for the post.
Police personnel took the lawyer into custody.
Earlier on Monday, a woman was taken into custody by police personnel after a similar incident wherein she tried to set her daughter on fire because she “was fed up of visiting the court and not getting justice”.
The incident had also occurred outside the SC Lahore Registry.
