ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Ahsan Iqbal has dismissed speculations of formation of a forward block within the ranks of PML-N and said that forward blocs had been formed before the July 25 election but there was no chance of formation of new one.
Speaking to media persons outside the National Assembly (NA), the former interior minister said that the PML-N and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) had reached an agreement to vote for Khurshid Shah for the slot of NA speaker and Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) for deputy speaker’s post.
He said both the parties will vote for PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif for the opposition’s candidate for prime minister.
“Those who wanted to leave the party had left before elections and the remaining ones in the party are ideologists,” he said.
