ASWJ claims backing 70 PTI candidates, Imran Khan for July 25 polls

Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ), a banned outfit, alleged that it put its weight behind the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in 70 constituencies for the recently held general polls.

ASWJ released a list of 70 PTI candidates that it allegedly supported in National Assembly (NA) and provincial assembly seats.

The outfit also alleged that it backed PTI Chairman Imran Khan in Lahore and Karachi.

The list released by ASWJ includes the names of Faisal Vawda, Umar Ayub Khan, Atif Khan, Ali Amin Gandapur, Pervez Khattak, Sarwar Khan, Aleem Khan as well as Awami Muslim League (AML) Cheif Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed.
