CM Askari pays tribute to police force martyrs

LAHORE: Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Dr Hasan Askari on Friday said that martyrs of the police force had written tales of bravery and courage with their blood.

In his message issued here on the eve of Police Martyrs Day, he said the nation remembered the great sacrifices rendered by police martyrs and paid regard to their heirs.

The chief minister paid rich tributes to the martyrs who had sacrificed their lives in the line of duty to protect the life and property of people and said their bravery and commitment to duty had helped in maintaining peace in the country.

“The police martyrs gave their blood to make the country a citadel of peace,” he said, adding that the sacrifices rendered by the police for the safety of citizens were immortal.

He also said that the police force and other law-enforcement agencies were fully engaged in eradicating internal enemies and martyrs were the heroes of the entire nation. “Peace has been restored only due to their sacrifices and their role in this regard would always be remembered.”
