ISLAMABAD: An Accountability Court (AC) in Islamabad has adjourned the hearing of Al Azizia Steel Mills and Flagship Investment references against thrice ousted premier Nawaz Sharif without any proceeding.
Counsel to the accused argued in the court that a petition to transfer the said case to another court is pending in Lahore High Court (LHC) hence the hearing should be deferred until the LHC’s decision upon which AC Judge Bashir Ahmed adjourned the case till August 7.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the light of Supreme Court (SC) orders had filed the above-mentioned references against Nawaz Sharif and members of his family.
