KARACHI: To compete with the rival Pakistan People Party (PPP) in interior Sindh, the coordination committee of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Tuesday announced its support for the candidates of Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) and independents in the July 25 polls.
In an announcement, the coordination committee said that the party will support GDA’s candidate in districts Sanghar, Sukkur, Tando Allahyar, Mirpurkhas, Naushero Feroz, Umer Kot and Hyderabad. In district Ghotki, MQM-P will support JUI candidate and in district Jamshoro, it will support Jamshoro Ittihad Party.
MQM-P announced its support for GDA candidates Khuda Buksh Ranjar for NA-215 Sanghar, Mai Khan Wasan for NA-217 Sanghar, Mobeen Jatoi for NA-207 Sukkur and Mohsin Magsi for NA-224 Tando Allahyar. Moreover, the committee announced its support of Ali Nawaz Shah as independent candidate for NA-218 Mirpur Khas, GDA’s Arbab Ghulam Rahim for NA-219 Mirpur Khas, Jalal Mahmood Shah of Jamshoro Ittihad Party for NA-233 Jamshoro, Zafar Ali Shah of GDA for NA-211 Naushero Feroz and Murtaza Jatoi of GDA for NA-212 Naushero Feroz besides others.
