Pakistan slams suicide attack outside Kabul airport

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan strongly condemned the terrorist attack outside Hamid Karzai International airport in Kabul on July 22, 2018 resulting in the loss of several innocent lives and injuring many others.

The government expressed its deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of those who have lost their lives and hope for early recovery of the injured.

Furthermore, support and solidarity with the people and Government of Afghanistan was also expressed.

Pakistan reiterated its condemnation of terrorism in all forms and manifestations and the resolve to eliminate it.

A suicide attack near Kabul’s airport shortly after the country’s controversial first Vice President Abdul Rashid Dostum landed on his return from abroad on Sunday resulted in the deaths of 14 people and injured 50 others.

 The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for the attack through its Aamaq News Agency.
