Coke Studio Season 11 is all set to hit your TV screens in August and we already got a glimpse of what might be in store for us with the ‘Coke Studio Explorer’ segment.

What was even better is that Coke Studio dropped its opening track, ‘Hum Dekhenge’ – a rendition of Faiz Ahmed Faiz’s poem. The track not only was good to listen to, but it came with some major announcement as it revealed over 70 artists as part of its 11th instalment.

The producers Ali Hamza and Zohaid Kazi have introduced a new level of uniqueness to Coke Studio as it also raised the bar for the years to come. Not only that, Kazi in an earlier interview stated that with this instalment they will highlight the ‘white in our flag’ and they have clearly done so as they revealed the all-inclusive lineup for the season.

A message of unity, hope and peace is being spread through Faiz’s poetry, or as Ali and Zohaib said, “It is a song, sung by the people of Pakistan, for the people of Pakistan!”

From showing the diverse cultures and languages to celebrating talent as it is. Coke Studio is the sound of the nation so the idea was to represent and encompass all of Pakistan and its spirit; to celebrate who we are, where we are and what we are.

We now know that there is a lot of talent that needs to be explored, as this season Coke Studio introduces young artists and brings back the old ones. Moreover, this season, the show aims to introduce new genres and fusion where featured artists explore their heritage while showcasing their unique styles.

There’s Ali Azmat with rockstar vocals, our very own Ahad Raza Mir making his music debut. We have Ali Sethi and Abida Parveen making a comeback along with Abrar ul Haq, Jawad Ahmad and Attaullah Esakhelvi. We see Haniya Aslam return to the stage as does Hassan Jahangir.

Sounds of Kolachi, Khumariyan, Lyari Underground, Young Desi and Mughal-E-Funk are ready to set the stage on fire.

Now, what we all are appreciating about this season is that the producers have introduced two transgender debutants, Naghma and Lucky who take us into another zone with their vocals.

Moreover, it is not only us who are appreciating this effort by the team, but the entire nation is, as it is about time we bring the community out here and celebrate them.

As we celebrate this new talent and a message of unity, we are super glad that this opening track is the perfect beginning to the season.

Watch the video here and go on an amazing journey, just like we did.
