London’s local police on Tuesday arrested two Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers and Pakistan Muslim League -Nawaz’s (PML-N) UK chapter senior leader Nasir Butt after the recent confrontation between the workers of two parties.
According to British authorities, the PTI workers were arrested they attempted to break down the doors to the apartment of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his son, Hussain Nawaz.
Police sources informed that video footage and photographic evidence of vandalism and property damage has been submitted, in which several individuals involved in acts of violence could be seen.
The police have been handed over footage of several protestors, who assemble daily outside the house and allegedly issue threats to children and residents.
On the other hand, PML-N senior leader Nasir Butt was arrested after he tried to snatch the phone of a person who was trying to making videos of the recent brawl that took place between the workers of both parties.
Following the incidents, a formal complaint was lodged by the Sharif family with London police against alleged attempts by PTI activists to break into the house of Hasan Nawaz.
Sharif family had maintained that security threats have been posted to the family and Begum Kulsoom, as people try to enter the hospital room without proper authority and clearance, the complaint stated.
Earlier on Sunday, PTI and PML-N supporters had clashed outside the Avenfield apartments owned by former prime minster Nawaz Sharif in London on Monday.
PTI supporters gathered outside the apartments and chanted slogans against the PML-N leader. This invited a response from PML-N supporters who counter-protested against Imran Khan.
An angry mob attempted to attack the Avenfield properties of the Sharif family.
A protester also threw a shopping cart at PML-N UK chapter member Aijaz Gul and hurled abuses at him. A video clip of the incident was widely shared on social media as well.
According to the media reports, the Sharif family has demanded action from the police in this regard.
