RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Arts Council on Sunday arranged a photographic exhibition to pay tribute to Burhan Wani, a Kashmiri freedom fighter, on his second death anniversary.
Peace and Culture Organisation Chairperson Mushaal Mullick, wife of Srinagar-based Liberation Front Chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik, inaugurated the exhibition where one hundred photographs of the late freedom fighter and Indian atrocities on Kashmiri people were put on display.
Mushaal was flanked by RAC Director Waqar Ahmed, Malik Meherban Khan and Allama Ayaz Zaheer Hashmi. Addressing on the occasion, Mushaal said that Burhan Wani’s blood would become source of Kashmir independence. She said that the Indian atrocities were condemnable on the death anniversary of Burhan Wani.
Addressing on the occasion, Waqar Ahmed said that the UN and other international organisations should take notice of recent carnages in the disputed Kashmiri state. Allama Ayaz Hashmi offered a special prayer for Burhan Wani and other Kashmiris martyrs.
