LONDON: Former Pakistan fast bowler and head coach of Pakistan cricket team, Waqar Younis, said that he will give fair chance to green shirts for winning the next ICC World Cup.
Talking to media, the former pacer said the cricket world cup, going to be held in Wales and England in 2019, will be a tough tournament.
“England is a dangerous team in its home and the last couple of world cups have been won by the home teams,” Younis said, adding but others team will come well prepared.
“Next world cup will be a well-fought tournament.”
Talking about Pakistani team, he said that green shirts won Champions Trophy 2017 in England and they know the conditions and showed that they can play very well here.
“There will be pressure from the entire country as expectations will be high,” Younis said, adding thousands of Pakistanis are residing in the UK and they will travel around to support the national team.
“There will be pressure but they will enjoy it.”
