ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Marriyum Aurangzeb Wednesday said the difference of opinion was part of democracy and it would strengthen the democratic system in the country.

Without a difference of opinion, democracy is just like a dictatorship, she said while talking to the PTV.

She said that parliament is the best forum to address the issues and difference of opinion should be inside the parliament otherwise it would have a negative impact on the country. She added the PML-N government during last five years of the constitutional tenure was exemplary and could not be compared with other regimes.

The voter has great importance in holding free and fair general election in the country, she added.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said that it is the responsibility of interim government to hold transparent elections on stipulated time.  She added that the parliament had evolved a consensus in approving electoral reforms bill to ensure more transparency in the system.

Some administrative points were removed from the electoral reform bill, she added.

She said leadership would award party tickets to the candidate to contest in the next general election.
