MULTAN: A civil court on Tuesday issued a stay order on publishing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan’s former wife Reham Khan’s book after the petitioner, Mustafa Chohan, accused Reham of being on the payroll of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

Chohan, the president of PTI’s lawyer wing, also said that Reham is carrying out this “conspiracy” with the help of Pakistan’s former ambassador to the US Husain Haqqani, who is also wanted by the courts in the memogate scandal. The petition requested the court to ban Reham’s book and stop its publishing.

The court after the hearing summoned Reham, Husain Haqqani as well as PEMRA.

PTI members have slammed the journalist’s upcoming book and accused her of secretly meeting with PML-N leaders Maryam and Ahsan Iqbal to cook up conspiracies against Imran Khan.

Reham has denied the allegations and defended her author the book.
