RAWALPINDI: A constable guarding a polio vaccination team was injured along with an alleged robber on Friday during a shootout on Stadium Road.
Police apprehended the suspected robber while his accomplice escaped with Rs0.1 million.
Muhammad Yasir, the injured constable, was shifted to a local hospital.
Constable Yasir had responded to a citizen’s cries for help following which the robber had opened fire.
Police said that the apprehended man was already wanted and search for his accomplice had been initiated.
