LAHORE: A five-year-old was found strangled near Manga Mandi on Tuesday, reported a local media outlet.
The unidentified minor’s body had been found in the field by people passing by, who informed the police.
Police shifted the five-year-old’s body to city morgue for an autopsy.
Announcements to locate the minor’s family were made through the local mosque but to no avail, according to the police.
Torture marks were also found on the five-year-old’s body, added police.
Saddar Division operations superintendent of police said that no signs of sexual assault were found and the case had been taken over by the homicide unit for further investigation.
