Low intensity earthquake shakes Lahore

LAHORE: A low-intensity earthquake shook Lahore and its surrounding areas on Saturday.

According to reports, the jolts were felt in Lahore, Mureedke, Shahdara and Nankana Sahib. There were no immediate reports of casualties or property damage.

The epicentre of the quake is also still unknown.

On April 4, an earthquake of low intensity jolted different areas of district Loralai of Balochistan on Wednesday but no causality or property damages were reported.

According to the geological wing of PMD, tremours measured 3.2 on Richter scale were felt in district headquarters Loralai and surroundings areas.

The earthquake resulted in panic among the local people and they rushed out of their homes, shops and other buildings reciting verses of the Holy Quran.
