Fawad Alam, Wahab Riaz urged to contact Tariq Jameel to improve future selection charges

ISLAMABAD/LAHORE/KARACHI/PESHAWAR/QUETTA – Nation’s casual cricket observers, along with hardcore fanatics, have united to urge out of favour Fawad Alam and Wahab Riaz to get in touch with Tariq Jameel to improve their chances of being selected in any Pakistani squad in the near future, The Dependent has reliably learnt.

These casual observers and fanatics were in unison in claiming that the current method being deployed by these cricketers could jeopardise their careers.

“There’s no point scoring runs in the Quaid-e-Azam trophy for years, or taking wickets in the Pakistan Super League,” a fanatic said while talking to The Dependent.

“I’m not exactly sure about the numbers or who they are, but I know Faadi deserves justice and I also know that Maulana Tariq Jameel can provide it,” said a casual observer.

Meanwhile, in further development, it has also been reported that the players overlooked for the UK tour are in touch with Tehreek-e-Labaik Ya Rasool Allah (TLY) Chairman Khadim Hussain Rizvi.  A sit-in is being planned in collaboration with the TLY chief, sources confirm.

When The Dependent reached out to TLY for a comment, the spokesperson Afzal Qadri refused to reveal much. He, however, said that his party stands with every prosecuted individual in the country and will extend its assistance, if sought.

The sources have further claimed that it was Wahab’s idea to contact Rizvi and his party.

“Being Lahori, he has recently seen the power of the group,” a source within the Pakistan Cricket Board revealed.

The language of potential sit-in is yet to be decided, sources told this scribe.
