PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA Zareen Zia submitted a motion in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly against the police for not acting against the criminals in a robbery incident, Geo News reported on Friday.

She said that she was travelling to Peshawar from Islamabad when unknown people stopped her car at the motorway near the Chamkani area. The assailants threw her out of the car and searched and misbehaved with her, she added.

She further said that upon reaching her home, she discovered that Rs 2 million which she had kept in her car were also missing.

She alleged that she asked the Gulbahar SHO and his team who were present there to help her but they did not do anything to stop the assailants, adding that the police did not even register an FIR of the incident.
