ISLAMABAD: A Senate body on Tuesday suggested a pre-CSS screening test for candidates who’re scheduled to sit for the competitive CSS examination, as reported by a local English daily.
The committee— created to go through the curriculum of different groups—conducted a meeting with Senator Muzaffar Hussain Shah in the chair.
Various issues were discussed in the committee, in which the members also deliberated upon the need to introduce screening tests as the number of CSS candidates had increased manifold recently.
The size and capacity of the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) is still the same, however. Several meetings have been held by the committee to decide upon the recommendations which will be presented before the Senate.
Secretary FPSC Ameer Tariq Zaman and other officials informed the meeting that the current six compulsory and optional subjects for the CSS exam are updated and have fulfilled the contemporary requirements.
