In a rare gesture, Karachi Malir Jail’s staff on Wednesday arranged a wedding ceremony of an inmate’s daughter upon his request for the ceremony to take place within the premises of the jail, reported a local media outlet.
Muhammad Rashid, imprisoned for murder, had requested the jail staff to allow his daughter’s marriage in the jail, as he could not participate in the festivities due to his sentence.
Not only, the wedding ceremony took place inside the premises, the police officials also joined the wedding amid celebratory beats of drums, besides flaunting their dance moves.
