Toxic tea sends seven to hospital in Sialkot

SIALKOT: As many as seven persons of a family fell unconscious after consuming toxic tea at their residence in Bonkan locality of Sialkot district.

Reportedly, the neighbours called the Rescue 1122, which shifted the victims Neelam, Mishal, Alishba, Ehsan Tariq, Aleem Iftikhar, Maham and Ali to a local hospital.

At the time of the report, police were still investigating the incident.

Separately, a minor girl, Madeeha, 9, was crushed to death by an over speeding car near village Jhaatokey-Tharo Mandi in tehsil Pasrur of the district.

According to police, the girl was standing near a local bus stop, when a car ran over her, killing her on the spot. The accused car driver fled away from the scene; however, police have launched an investigation and investigation was under way.
