Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani: A political veteran with 3 decades of experience

KARACHI: Born on July 10, 1946, in Sindh’s Karampur, Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani belonged to an affluent and influential family of the Sindh politics.

After graduating from Government National College Karachi (GNCK) he joined the Sindh Muslim Law College (SMLC) for his LLB and masters in political science.

Representing Jacobabad’s PS-16 constituency in 1974 and 1977 as an MPA earlier, he was once again elected from the said constituency in 2013. Furthermore, Bijrani was a National Assembly (NA) member from 1990-93 and 1997-2013

He was also elected to the Senate in 1988.

Bijarani held the positions of planning and development provincial minister and a member of the committee on government assurances.

His wife, Fareeha Razak held a reserved woman’s seat in the Sindh Assembly from 2002-2007.
